No Lint on the Lint Screen
Why is there no lint in the lint trap?
Little or no lint collecting on the lint screen or lint trap is a warning sign of a bigger issue. If there is no lint on the lint screen after a drying cycle, or if lint is on the wrong side of the screen, it could be a sign that the lint is backing up in your dryer. Further, a lack of lint on the lint trap or screen is a sign of an obstructed dryer vent.
If lint builds up in the dryer vent or dryer cavity, back pressure can cause the heating element to overheat. When a dryer overheats, the lint trapped inside the dryer can easily catch fire.
It is important to clean the lint screen before and after each drying cycle and to have your vent inspected if you find little or no lint on the lint screen following a drying cycle. Request an appointment or call us today to schedule your dryer vent inspection and cleaning.
